Our lock wouldnt unlock.. I called and the locksmith came within 15 min.. Excellent service and very reasonable priced.. Will have him on speed dial from now on.. Definitely recommend.. 5 stars

We were told we needed to replace our door, that our lock was not worth replacing. I called Active Lock and Key who came out within the hour. Mike was exceptional and fixed our lock from 1948 within 30 minutes. 5 star service all the way around.

Had to get access to an old corroded building which seemed like a challenging situation. Mark arrived on time and was clearly a pro. He got past the first lock in a matter of seconds and through the rest very efficiently. I kept saying WOW! If I had called another company without the master locksmith, they would have taken a lot more time and charged a great deal more. Very professional and helpful service. Highly recommend. Thank you!

I called 3 different Audi dealers in the norther/western suburbs. None of them would cut a new key for me or replace one for a reasonable price. I called Active lock and they sent my info to a mobile locksmith they work with named Albert. He called me within 30 minutes of me reaching out to Active Lock and was at my house cutting a new key that same night at 7pm. Top notch service and now I have a backup key. Would absolutely recommend this place! Extremely reasonable for the price of a new Audi key as well.

Friendly and super fast service. I have used their services several times and they always showed up at my business locations within an hour. On one occasion, my sister-in-law who lives in Schaumburg lost her house key and they got there in less than 20 minutes. That was very impressive!

helped me out of a bind!
The key fob for my Toyota Tacoma was stolen last year. Put off by the prospective ~$500 dealer cost to replace & program a new fob I bought a "new" one through Amazon from a vendor in McHenry with the intent to have an independent & reliable locksmith perform the programming. I spoke to Dale who first warned me (justifiably) about the danger of purchasing fobs from an unknown supplier - very good advice! Fortunately, the supplier of the key fob was reliable and Active Lock & Key were able to program the fob & cut a new key at a rate much lower than the dealer!' I highly recommend Active Lock & Key!

I had an emergency with my front door lock - it would not work and I needed a locksmith. I called my local locksmith but they were booked solid for a couple of weeks. Fortunately, they recommended Active Lock and Key. My husband passed away recently and I was afraid to have my door unlocked. Active Lock and Key adjusted their schedule and sent a locksmith out within the next couple of hours. I cannot express enough my gratefulness for the service provided - the service man(Mike) was efficient, courteous and within a short time had my problem resolved. Excellent Service and Quality Work at Reasonable Prices
Our company has used Active Lock for years for various business needs and I would contact them for home needs as well. Everyone that I've worked with at Active Lock has always been helpful, friendly and service/customer satisfaction oriented. Concerning their most recent visit, we have two heavy glass doors with closers, replacement of which is always labor-intensive - two service techs needed. They've replaced them once for us (7-8 years ago) and they recently needed either service or replacement again so I placed a service call. The service techs who replaced the closers before are still with them and remembered our doors. To save everyone time and expense, they called to gather info from me instead of gathering during a service call. They combined that info to what they had in their own records, their recollection and expertise. They ordered the parts they would need if replacement was indeed required and brought the parts with them for the repair call. They completed the work in one 2 hour visit and we're set for another 5+ years. Price was very reasonable.

This business went above and beyond to help my husband and I. We lost our luggage travelling internationally with our only car key and we were 4 hours from home. They responded quickly when we called and helped save us hundreds of dollars in programming the key and telling us how to avoid the dealerships schemes. Replaced Missing Car Keys Fast
I purchased an older vehicle over a year ago that was missing the valet key that opened the side doors, trunk, t-tops and glove box. I've been frustrated in getting replacement keys make because I've been turned away by several GM dealerships and lock smiths over the past year due to various reasons. After contacting Active Key & Lock, they not only got back to me right away, but had a set of keys ready for me a few hours later so I could pick them up after work. Had I known about these guys before, it would have saved me alot of time and frustration. Keys worked great and was definitely worth the $125 to have them made.

Excellent Service and exceptional Customer Service
Last week I lost my only key fab to my mini van. The dealership could provide the key, but said I need to get a tow to program the key. I called Active Lock and Key to see if they could help us out to prevent a tow over to the dealer. They were so friendly and helpful. They ordered the key the same day I called and as soon as the key came in, came to my house to program the key, all for less than the dealer could even order the key for. So friendly and helpful. I will certainly use them again in the future for any lock or key needs. They made my stressful situation so much easier to handle.

BEWARE ON WHO YOU CALL
These guys are REAL LOCKSMITHS with a real business storefront as well as mobile units and have been around forever. I learned my lesson and was scammed by a bogus “so called locksmith company” SCAM SMITH I should say. The internet add appeared to be Active Lock but the click to call was a scam Be careful the internet is tainted with scammers. Trust these guys. Put there number in you phone and spread the word.......

Lost my keys for my car
Active Lock helped me out of real jamb after I lost my keys for my car, they went above and beyond normal service to help me. My car has a computer chip key system and they came out and programmed new keys and got me going. I highly recommend this company. (They even went and bought jumper cables because my battery was dead) Thanks again to the Active Lock Team.

Professional & promp
While having other services done in my home, a contractor locked a door and I got locked out while expecting a furniture delivery. I needed someone ASAP. Mark was at my house in 10 minutes, got me inside, rekeyed my lock to match others, and cut me extra keys, all in a short time for a very reasonable charge. Next time I need keys cut or new locks, Active will be where I go.

Happy purchase of a safe
These guys know safes, a lot to choose from on the floor or special order. After an hour of education, we learned a lot (don’t buy a safe from a Big box store) from the time we walked in to the time they delivered everything was perfect and professional. They also deliver themselves and not a third party moving company so discretion is top priority. Will recommend to all.

Locked out and stranded.
I called active lock after realizing I closed the door leaving the keys inside of my house. After calling numerous other "so called" locksmiths and getting the run around I got a hold of active lock, they answered after 3 rings at 1 in the mourning and were at my location in less than 30 minutes and got me in within minutes. As good as it gets
Dale and Mike were terrific. Dale for the 9pm service call, and Mike for the next day re-keying. These gentlemen know their business! Fast, no baloney and fair pricing. Would definitely be my go-to guys for anything connected with locks.
